2012 SPRING SEASON VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
GAME DAY VOLUNTEERS
It is critical to have full cooperation from every family on the team to ensure game days, tournaments and all other events go smoothly. When the same people are doing all the work that’s what it becomes, work. When we all work together we are a team.
Field Administrator and Asst. Duties
Field Administrator will need help setting up the field.
This includes:
-Setting up the sideline tables and field.
-Getting the coolers of water and Gatorade to the sideline for the players.
-Putting the flags up on the bleachers and signs on the fence.
-Game balls on end lines and picking them up after game completes.
-Putting goals in the crease prior to game and removing the goals after the game is complete.
Game Day Volunteers
One person to run the penalty clock. Two people are needed to do the stats book. One person will be the spotter and the other will record the players stats. This is very important to the boys as they use this to get onto a college team and get District awards at the end of the year.
Brining Water, Gatorade or Ice
All need to be delivered one hour prior to JV game time. All bottles should be no bigger than 12oz. The drinks have to be iced down an hour before game time to ensure the players aren’t drinking hot drinks in the Texas heat.
Away games require stat book, ice, drinks & Gatorade in coolers.
Concession Stand
The concession Stand needs to be manned during both games. If you sign up for the JV game you will be asked to help set up the area. If you are working the Varsity game you will be asked to help clean up. It is ideal that if your son plays Varsity you work the JV game and vs. versa.
Clean up Crew
Imperative that we clean-up and help Field Administrator pack up as we are charged per hour for the field. Clean up consists of all our gear as well as ensuring all trash is picked up.
Game Day Announcer
Someone who can announce the players and do play by play.
One video person to tape the entire game so the players can review at the next practice. One video person to take video for a highlights reel at the end of season banquet.
At least one person to sell spirit wear during the JV game and a separate person during the Varsity game. Again, it is helpful to have a JV parent work the Varsity game and Varsity parent work the JV game. All money should be turned into the Treasurer by the end of the varsity game.
Two people to sell tickets for entry into the game. A JV parent should work the Varsity game and Varsity parent work the JV game. Tickets are sold until the 3rd quarter of the Varsity game. Money collected should be turned into the Treasurer when the gate sales end.
