Kevin MacGibbon: Head Coach
Coach MacGibbon grew up playing lacrosse in Derry, New Hampshire. A four-year starter goalie at Pinkerton Academy, MacGibbon led his high school team to a three-time Northern New England Championship. At the U.S. Military Academy, MacGibbon was a four-year letterman, starting his last two years. Twice elected to the college All-Star American team, he was voted MVP his junior year.MacGibbon was involved with the Plano Junior Lacrosse Program for seven years and has coached the PSHS Wildcats for six years. In 2006, MacGibbon assumed the position of head coach in mid-season and led the Wildcats to the THSLL Final Four Tournament and a 3rd Place finish.
Denis Lambert: Assistant Head Coach
A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Lambert lettered in lacrosse for four years. Born and raised in New York, Lambert played competitive lacrosse for Yorktown High School. Prior to becoming assistant coach for the PSHS Wildcat lacrosse team, Lambert coached in Plano Junior Lacrosse Program for nine years.
Brian Bolden: Assistant Coach
The Wildcat Lacrosse coaching staff welcomes the talented addition of Brian Bolden, in his first year to assist both the Varsity and JV teams. Bolden played defense at THE Florida State University for two years, garnering all SELC honorable mention honors. After graduating in 2003 with a degree in business management, Bolden now works for Chrysler LLC. Groomed entirely in Florida, Brian attended and played at Lake Mary High School in central Florida, where he earned 1st team All-District, Conference, and State honors his junior and senior years.
Chris Vaccaro: Assistant Coach
The Plano Wildcat Lacrosse team brings talent full circle with the arrival of Chris Vaccaro this year as assistant coach for the Varsity and JV teams. Vaccaro was a three-year Varsity starter for the Plano Wildcats with honors including: Offensive Player of the Year, both his junior and senior years, All-District as a sophomore, and team captain as a senior. Vaccaro was a three-year starter for the Division 3 lacrosse team at the College of Wooster in Ohio and leading scorer as a sophomore. Graduating in May 2007, Vaccaro has returned to Plano, working for the marketing company, Crossmark.
Junior Varsity Coaches:
Kevin Garrett: Head Coach
Now in his third year as lead coach for the Plano Wildcat JV lacrosse team, Garrett brings his experience playing for the University of Texas, where he was team captain, treasurer, and media guide organizer. Garrett graduated in May 2005 with a degree in mechanical engineering and moved to Dallas to work for Marlow Industries. Raised in Austin, Garrett attended L.C. Anderson High School where he played baseball and was named 1st Team All-District Centerfielder in 2001.
Joe Pirro: Assistant Head Coach
Pirro has been actively involved in the development of the Plano lacrosse program both as coach and as director. He coached Plano Junior Lacrosse team's for five years and is in year with the JV Wildcats. Pirro was selected as a coach for the 2003 Lonestar Lacrosse U-13 team at Vail and the 2005 Lonestar Lacrosse U-15 team at UMASS Amherst. In 2005, Pirro received a grant from Friends of North Texas Lacrosse to attend the U.S. Lacrosse National Convention in Philadelphia.
Garry Sarchet: Assistant Coach
Sarchet became engaged in Plano lacrosse when his son began playing the sport at PSHS. Although his son has graduated, Sarchet still contributes as assistant coach for the JV Wildcats. A Columbus, Ohio native, Sarchet received his degree in industrial engineering from Kettering University and has been with JCPenney for over 30 years. Sarchet's claim to fame came in 2005 when he substituted for the Texas A&M lacrosse coach and led the Aggies to a 20-5 victory over the LSU Tigers.
John Wallace: Assistant Coach
Wallace has been coaching lacrosse at the youth level for four years at both PSA and Wrangler. A three-year Varsity player and captain of his high school lacrosse team on Long Island, Wallace later played club lacrosse in Dallas. He has also served as the Technical Liaison for the North Texas Chapter of U.S. Lacrosse Hosting Committee for the MCLA National Championships since 2006. Wallace is in his 30th career year at EDS and previously served eight years in the U.S. Air Force.
